A community is a breathing, changing environment and collection of people. Each day communities change for the better or worse. Tilden is a town that chooses to move forward.

Located in Northeast Nebraska, Tilden is home to over 1000 residents. Like many 1980’s farming communities, the community was affected badly by the recession and struggled to recover.

Building and growth had stagnated, but the community leadership had a mindset and attitude to make changes. They approached Five Rule Planning and the process of planning began.

Since completing a comprehensive plan in 2019, the city updated their Blight and Substandard Study, offered incentives to developers, and partnered with the Tilden Meadow Grove Foundation. Currently Tilden is preparing for development of a 15 lot housing subdivision located where a vacant building once stood.

The Tilden City Council has invested the time, energy and expense to partner with Fiver Rule Planning to organize for the future. As the community gains momentum they are an example of success thru strategy, planning and forward thinking.
